H&R spacer's correlation with brake squeal
H&R spacer's correlation with brake squeal
-Does anyone else have this problem? including you guys with 15mm?
-my hypothesis for why this happens: the brake pedal we step on directly control's the squeezing of the pads in the front brake's only and since the rims+tires are farther away from the rotor, it generates greater rotational force causing the brake pads to work harder because the rotors are spinning strongerly? O.O pure speculation. in the case that this is true, is it bad for the brake pads?
-please stray away from off topic responses such as "spacers suck" or "spacers are dangerous"
-any solutions? i really want to 'borrow' a set of 15mm's or 10mm's to test my hypothesis but i doubt that would happen.
Sincerely,
Ellick

Too much to read for my ADD but I dont see how a spacer could make you brakes sqeal. The spacer does not really do anything in regard to the rotor or caliper. This would be the first I have heard of anything like this.
Maybe the spacers you have installed on the front wheels. Have slight damage, or imperfection. Notify H&R and ask to do an even exchange under warranty. I am pretty sure they will. I don't think installing 15mm will make any difference.
