Looking to purchase G some ??

I have been talking to a couple of members on this forum about purchasing a pre-modded G including turbo/superchargers etc. I live in Delaware and I am worried about passing inspection. I have a suburban that has not had cats for years and it trip a code but recently has passed inspection. They didnt even do a visual on the SUV and it passed emissons as well so I think its kinds laxed in southern DE on the inspection front. But if I roll in with a G with aftermarket exhaust, wheels, etc. what are some of members expierences on this? Is just having a turbo installed enough to fail? Buying a car and having cats installed is no big deal but removing a turbo maybe another story. thanks guys

Sorry, don't have much input for the topic above. Just wanted to say hi to a fellow Delawarean!

I'm not too familiar with FI so not sure what type of codes (if any) the turbo will set off. Regarding aftermarket exhaust and cats - as long as it's not insanely loud and you don't have the CEL, I think you will be fine. But chances are if you install both an exhaust and cats then it'll be pretty loud so IDK... I plan on getting one or the other...not both because of the volume issue. Same with the wheels. They can't fail you for having aftermarket wheels unless they're like falling apart in the middle of your inspection.

Just make sure all your lights are working. Install the cat back on and no CEL. You should be good. If you pass smog check then you r good to go. They will not look under your hood. Also in my state they have a new sys. that if your car is a 2006+ they plug a reader into the dash and read your EMS. If you don't have any CEL it should read fine.
Worst come to worst
Take your car to a tuner and have them tune to make it legal. I don't know what kind of mod is on the car but if it's FI, it might and should be running a stand alone EMS. If it does then it's a tune, save, go get ur emission test, then reload you old map and you're back to normal.
good luck.
