Hey guys,

my car now has over 5000 miles. It has been running regular conventional oil. Just seeing which oil I should start using in terms of synthetic or ester based oils. Any recommendations on which on is good? I use to have a Subaru sti and alway used motul but this is a G so have no clue.

I use Red Line 5W-30. It is formulated with esters which is what Nissan recommends for the VQ due to the self induced harsh start ups. And it's cheaper than Nissan's CONVENTIONAL ester oil.

 

Definitely suggest the search tool. There are some very good comparisons and discussions on motor oil that should give you a great idea on what is recommended and most popular.

I use Pennzoil Ultra.

 

Go full synthetic, Mobil 1. It is worth the little extra money it cost.
