Filtermag alternative - FILTRO MAX

I was doing some "pre-shopping" in preparation for my first oil change yesterday (step-by-step provided on 370Z, thanks!).

I came across this product at a Canadian Tire up here in BC.

Did some research and was going to give the filtermag a try, thinking why not for $45.

Then I was mildly offended that they only ship to the US, yes, I know I can go on ebay, but still....

Anyway, original price was $25 and price was reduced to $12. Gonna pick one up today since I figure its minimal risk. Anyone used this before.

I also snapped a few pics with the magnet attached to (what I think) is the G's filter size. As you can see its a bit small, but I believe the magnets should be strong enough. I didn't snap a picture, but when I tried a Mobil 1 filter with no cellophane around it, the bond seemed to be strong enough, keeping in mind there's thick plastic around the packaging of the magnet.

Lemme know what you think.
