SES Light Came On --- 300 miles in?
My car is freakin' brand new, practically. 300 miles on the puppy to drive it home.
My "Service Engine Soon" light came on. Anyone have any idea what's going on? And how can I reset it, cuz there is nothing wrong from what I can tell.
However... I accidentally started the car while an airbox was out... Perhaps the engine sucking in a gasp of unfiltered air might have caused it?

there are A LOT of factors that could make it come on...just saying "it's on, what is wrong?" will not get you the answers you need.
I would just go to the dealer and have them read the code to see what's wrong with it

Could I take it to Oil Can Henry's and have them do a code check?
I would take it to the dealer...but anyone with a Cobb or Hypertech or something like that can see the error code (so yes, you could probably take it to any Joe Schmo Garage)
Is going to be intake/emissions related. You shouldn't start the car without the MAF sensor in place. It's in the intake piping that you took out.
Have it reset at an auto parts store the does it for free (most Auto Zone or O'reilly stores will do it). Then don't do that again.

anyone that knows what they are doing should know what the error codes are.
I don't know if you edited your first post or if I just totally missed it, but starting the car w/o the intake in (and thus no MAF) almost certainly caused it.

Off to Autozone again.
So you seem to be complaining that you had an SES light come on so soon, since you only have 300 miles on the car..... but the problem seems to be user error.
Why would you start the car with an airbox missing?
And you are wondering why an SES light came on?
Noob: OMG my car wont go in reverse! Its liek brand new n stuff. Wat wrong wit it..... oh, and I took all the tires off and its sitting in the driveway on its subframe. Could dat be problem?
