New OWNER ! ... Quick Question? Whats Reminder 2 "Reset Interval" ... ??? is it a oil change

 

Are you talking about in the center console (the screen with the nav and radio controls?)

You can go into Information->maintenance and set your desired intervals for service and maintenance. For example, I have reminder 1 set for my oil change interval (about 4500 miles for me or 3750 if you want to follow schedule 1 by-the-book).

Then I have reminder 2 set for 15,000 miles for my air filters, etc). So everytime it approaches the 4500 miles, the notice for reminder 1 will display. In my case it's telling me I need an oil change. When I change the oil, I want to select the "reset distance," and it will begin counting from 0 again and come up in another 4500 miles, rinse, repeat, etc.

If you never set the reminder to begin with, maybe someone else set it at the dealership or it's set to the default. So in that case no need to bother with it, just turn it off or set it however you want it -- as a new owner you probably will know when you need your first oil change by your mileage.
