Houston...we have a problem!!!!

Okay, try and bare with me.

I recently heard a very weird noise coming from the drive side dash around the vent area left of the steering wheel.

It happens in all modes, but only when you give it gas and it reaches close to 40mph and up to almost 60, then it kinda goes away a little and then starts again from 60 on up.

The best that i can describe it is that it sounds sort of like a blow off valve on a turbo car, but not quite as distinct.

I took it to my dealer and they went with me on a test drive so i could duplicate the sound. The tech that went with me said oh yeah i know that sound. It is the heater coil, it has some silicone stuck inside 1 of the coils and when the water gets flushed through it's just like a sprinkler hitting a piece of plastic machine gun style.

1 full day, i get it back and bingo. No more sound, wow.

2 days later, it is back. I take it back to service and they have my car for saturday, sunday and all day monday. I go to pick it up and they say it is not silicon they do not know what the cause it, but they have a message into the tech line. Meanwhile they were just going to keep my car until they solved it. I said no thanks i will drive my car while you guys play phone tag with infiniti.

Any one else have this problem. I have searched, but most of the problems are nothing like this.

thanks,

Have not heard of that one yet. Hopefully, the noise can be isolated. It's covered either way but I know having your G making some crap noise sucks. Let us know what they find.

The heater coil TSB was for "clicking" in the dash area... Not a blowoff valve sound. I'm guessing you were mis-diagnosed. Take it back in.
