Upcoming Timing Job
Upcoming Timing Job
Hi all! I have a big job coming up this spring (winter weather is HORRIBLE) and timing chains are a part of it (yay water pump failure). I read in the fsm that we need the flywheel holder tool to remove the crank pulley, and seeing online that I'd be spending roughly 150 plus shipping to remove it. Are there any other ways to remove/reinstall the crank pulley? I am on a 6MT if that makes a difference.
Any individual experience on replacing the secondary chains would help too as there isn't much info on them.
The work will consist of brake caliper rebuilds, hardline rear brake line replacements, hardline fuel and hardline evap lines replacements, rear diff bushings + subframe collars and diff brace, water pump, gallery gaskets, all chains, tensioners and guides, stillen Gen 3's, and ISR LTH.
Throwing myself into a massive project with 5.25 days to finish it in late March/early April so as much info as I can gather the better! Appreciate all the help!
