2014 q60 coupe to 2011 g37sedan engine swap
So I did a 2014 q60 coupe to 2011 g37sedan engine swap only differences I found are the os sensor plugs and the exhaust manifolds are different but both easy fixes. I did leave the existing trany in the car as length is an issue between the coupe and sedan but the bell housing bolts up perfectly and the torq converter slipped on surprisingly easy as well......the car turns over really well it has good compression ( i checked with compression tester) its getting fuel ( i checked by unhooking the fuel line as it goes into the intake manifold )everything in the car works electronically from windows, gauges, lights, cooling fan comes on etc. etc. it was throwing a steering wheel lock code but I addressed that and when it first turns over it almost starts but then just continues to turn over. I've triple checked every plug, the obd scanner isn't giving codes for the engine ( I know its not actually running so there may be codes when it actually does start but pre ignition im getting a clean scan) im wondering if I should have found a way to leave the trany that came with the q60 engine on or if using the existing one was the right move? I just felt the ECM, TCM & BCM should all be from the og setup. any insight or help would be greatly appreciated as she's been sitting now for a few months while I regrow the hair I was pulling from my head but now im catching cracks from the wife because of the infiniti sitting in the driveway on stands making our house look like "Sanford & Sons"
