I think an orange accent stripe could be a nice and subtle option that would work well.
I'm going to experiment with that.
Meanwhile, I found this graphic this morning, saved it locally, and good thing too because I can't seem to find it again.
There's something appealing about the minimalist approach to the dove image. Wings not flames, and yet flame-like. It's simple... I like it. Need to shop this up and see what it would look like.
That symbol looks familiar. Is it religious? Can't place where I have seen it before. The flames I mentioned would be barely noticeable. It's your car. Do what you think is cool. If you hate it, scrape it off.
I hope not. That would nix the idea quickly for me. Otherwise, sure, why not? It's an homage to my first car, an orange '76 Firebird, without being a screaming chicken.
So I used google images search feature and the only match it found was an ebay site that's selling it as a vinyl decal. Well that's a coincidence.
Go to ebay and search "bird dove vinyl decal" and there it is. 5.75" x 3.75" in orange for $3.96. I think that might be too big. I need to print some samples, get out the tape and look at this on the car.
[edit]
Ebay seller said the image was created independently by one of his designers 7 years ago.

Did some arts & crafts and decided a 3" vertical is the better look.
However, I also walked my girls through this thread. My oldest laughed out loud. My youngest declared I'm tramp stamping my car. Then my wife politely shook her head and said, "No, that would look stupid." Needless to say, those are not the reactions I was expecting.
Well that's OK. So I ordered the decals.

That does look a bit like a tramp stamp! I also see the association with the Firebird hood emblem as well.
Just did the passenger side. Clayed the location, stripped the surface with alcohol and buffed, then applied the decal. Currently waiting on some paste wax to cure over it, before turning the car around and doing the driver side.
My first positive impression is that it looks beautiful. I genuinely like it. However my first negative impression is that the 6 tips in the graphic taper to such a fine point that it might not stand the test of time or weather or hand-washing. Not much I can do about that except be careful. If one side or the other gets damaged, I'll have to remove it.
I feel like this particular decal is too fragile to stand up over time, because of the way the tips taper to such a thin point. Sadly, these little guys might not be long for this world.

Funny how we talked about that 5 years ago, and I completely forgot.
I've got no issue with the 370GT emblem, that's cool. Did you go Skyline on the trunk too? You know I did that, no regrets. That S is weird though. Mostly I think the S doesn't fit the space and makes it busy, or crowded. Putting an Aston badge on the car... brings me back to the idea of using an orange 3" Firebird decal, because of my first car. But I won't do that.
I can rationalize the SKYLINE badging because that's the same car in Japan, just like your 370GT badge. And I can rationalize the 4DSC decal on the window because it was my own design as a derivative work based on the 7th Gen pre-production Maxima. But I can't rationalize the Firebird decal, no matter my nostalgia. As far as this dove-bird decal goes, no rationalization needed because it doesn't really mean anything. It's just a pretty design, and essentially the same thing as a flourish at the end of some pinstriping. You know, a tramp stamp.
Years ago on the forum there was this guy with a Ferrari badge on he G. Pretty sure I gave him nothing but crap for that. In hindsight, that was unnecessarily mean of me. In the early years, I was somewhat cavalier on the forum with my opinions. I like to think I've gotten better.
Wasn't it you that said don't do this about a week ago? LOL

I really like the way it turned out @Rochester ! Custom, but very subtle way to highlight the work you did on the calipers.
