That was the original plan, however, as my paint had already faded to the point to where no amount of elbow grease would have eliminated the "ghosting" from the INFINITI lettering that was sidelined. As the car will be repainted in another year or so I will either re-badge or just leave it clean.

To be fair, I am not a fan of any type of adornment on the fenders- badges, decals, pinstriping, etc. Just not my flavor. That is the biggest gripe with my Zed/4- BMW overkill on the fenders (you think my 370GT badge(s) are "busy" ) but, too late to debadge now.

Guilty. However, I agree 100% with what socketz67 opined, the graphic looks clean, simple, and a nice subtle accent to the orange calipers. And, ultimately, if you like it then I am happy for you.

I had some light ghosting too, but it buffed out clean and uniform with a little polishing compound.

In BMW's defense, they did specifically indent the fender in support of that huge BMW badge. To your point, they didn't need to do that. It would have looked fine without it.

And yes, pinstriping is something that mostly died off decades ago. RIP little vinyl strips.

The roundel I can "tolerate." But the idiotic badges coupled with the post-LCI side markers... ugh.

(google image but identical to mine)

Oh yeah, I would absolutely ditch the S-DRIVE 35is. That's just gibberish.

I'd keep the roundel, and paint that hockey stick trim gloss black.

My youngest finally saw the decals on the car. It's still "tramp stamp" to her. She likes the color, and grudgingly likes the design, but she doesn't like seeing anything on the fender, and she's sticking to her guns on that.

Oh well. Not a problem... I've cancelled Fall tuition and disowned her.

y no waifu stickers for graphics?

lol jk. I do like the like phoenix flame graphic but around the fender area is where I think I would have it. my q40 came with the 3.7 badges and it did add a bit of detail that made it more noticeable and stray from regular G's

It's a no for me. Not a fan of the design and I typically don't like stickers in general. However, I do love the old Nismo graphics available on z33.

I really like that digital fade on the rear fender too, Rob. That huge stripe though, not so much.

Have had an affinity for those Nismo stripes ever since Nissan came out with the “R-tune” third gen Altima.

If there were Nismo parts worth considering for a V36 sedan, I’d be tempted to throw a tiny Nismo badge somewhere. Full-on side stripes, prob not.

If there were a Nismo exhaust for the G Sedan, I'd have probably gotten it and put that badge on the trunk.

Do they come in different colors? Maybe all of us that have been here more than 5 years apply the same decal in that spot. Coast to coast G posse. Your daughter would have a field day with that 😉.

All different colors and patterns. Countless options. However I highly doubt anyone else will do this, OG status notwithstanding.

Anyway, I went on a bunch of errands today with the G. Weather is gorgeous, and the car is so clean. I was looking at the decal from a distance down various parking lots. You can tell there's something there, something orange, but can't really make it out until 10 yards away or so. It's super subtle, not even a little bit flashy. And it perfectly draws the eye back and forth from the calipers because of the orange.

You know what? I'm done equivocating how I feel about this $10 sticker project. I genuinely like it, and it's a keeper until something happens to it.
