Power Steering
My dumba** wanted to slide my q40 and forgot to turn off my traction control and went on to do the slide. After I slid it my steering wheel started feeling rough and started making a noise when turning the wheels. I popped the hood and saw a bunch oil (dont know if it was power steering fluid or oil). Went to check out the power steering fluid reservoir and it was below min but still had fluid in it. Can it be the power steering pump that went out or a power steering pump line?

Determine oil type
power steering fluid is basically transmission fluid, and they have a distinct smell and feel as compared to engine oil.
Then clean up the engine bay and underside. At a self serve wash if necessary.
Then watch for the leak.
Could be coming from the rack itself, so throw an eyeball on that as well.
This is when having a friend with a lift comes in handy. Dont forget to bring him beers
