Many odd problems with G37X
Many odd problems with G37X
I bought a 2010 G37X Sedan two months ago certified and safety from a used cars dealership.
Been having nothing but the oddest problems with the car. (PS ive owned a 04 G35 and 09 G37X and never had these problems)
Randomly while the car is off and parked locked or unlocked, the car alarm will continuously go off, no matter how many times you shut it off with the keys in a matter of a minute it’s honking again. It will stop after 10 minutes.
Also randomly the car will not allow me to go past 2000RPMs without misfire, I have to hover just under 2000RPM. I was thinking it’s a O2 Sensor issue? Maybe some wires exposed, I did have to order a a whole new fender liner for both front sides of car because there were huge holes in the plastic exposing the wires. I just had them installed yesterday hoping that may solve that problem.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that the fuel economy isn’t great compared to my other Infiniti’s I’ve owned. It seems to just eat the fuel, I hardly drive it in sport mode for that reason.
Other than those issues that don’t happen everyday the car does run amazing, especially in sport, I’m unsure if my car happens to be a “Sport” version because it does have paddle shifters.
Any help or suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated, or if anyone is having similar issues please share!

Paddle shifters are a very common DIY mod for non-Sport owners, so it's not at all indicative of having a Sport Package. Certainly the "xS" badge is a quick indicator, but lots of people remove the badge entirely. 18" sport wheels are another clue, but again easy enough to swap. Probably the best tell would be if your car has Sport Seats, because they're an expensive swap. Sport side-sills and sport headlights, too, but those are pretty subtle and hard to tell the difference.
Welcome to the forum. GL with your problems.
My first thought is a wild guess
a Dealer has to sell a road legal car.
That means they'd have to de-tune a car that had the cats removed.
How far they went into making the car stock is anybody guess.
But I'd start by looking if they used OEM cats and find someone who can peer into the ECM and see what kind of calibration is in there.
Also look for evidence of removed aftermarket electronics.
alarms, pedal control, etc
