Need opinion on this coolant leak

Need opinion on this coolant leak


Coolant leaking behind ac compressor

Do yall think this leak is coming from the water pump weep hole?

Pressurize the radiator with compressed air. But not too much
Maybe try those fancy UV glasses.

Is that the only sign you received that the waterpump was going? How many miles are on the car? What is the cost to replace? As our cars get up there in years, I wonder if we will start seeing more of these failures as I have not seen many at this point.

2011 G37xS Coupe, water pump went out at 165k miles. Cost of repair $2,000. The $2,000 also covered the gallery gasket, all the seals and what not while you’re in there. Was expecting the gallery gasket to go out before the water pump, but surprisingly it was still in one piece. $2,000 is a bit on the high side but you can find shops that will do it for $1,000-$1,400. Just make sure they have done it previously.
