Has anyone used these? Do they still use the HID bulbs or do they come with LED replacement bulbs (especially if you add the RGB demon eyes?). If they come with the HID bulbs, would the Lasfit (or any other conversion kit) LED kit work on them?

You may want to read this thread as forum member @Krzysztof47 has both the Akkons AND the Lasft LED conversion kit. From what I recall he likes both, however, he is having issues with the clear coat on the outer lens/ cover starting to peel. I tagged him on this post and I am sure he will offer some input later today if/ when he is online.

From what I gather on here and in general, it seems the LASFIT system, regardless of headlamp, is a highly regarded upgrade to the stock HID Xenons.

 

I do have the chrome Akkon headlights. The clear coat on mine started to peel a few weeks ago unfortunately. I actually tried to do my diligence and applied some plexus to the headlights after every wash. I think I should either applied PPF film to them from the get go. It's a bit of a shame as I have no other issues with them. I had these installed on 7/22/21.

The LASFIT D2S kit is one of the only ones I know of for the G37. I think it is a really nice kit, they work in the OEM headlights too of course as that is what they were designed for.

 

Yeah they use cheap clear coating. Mine looks yellow and horrible. Got to get them restored when I get a chance.
