So when I'm driving from a stop or very low speed i hear this rattle when i apply throttle. Goes away past 1000 rpms. Coming from the front end of the car. 155k miles, awd. My buddy said it sounds like timing chain could be be a little loose, tensioners or guides worn out.

 

does it sound like this? I had a rattling issue a few years ago and it turned out to be one of my catalytic converters.
