Idle Speed

When I first start up my car, she idles around 1500 RPM and stays there for quite a while. I haven't tested it longer than a minute, but it'll stay idling at 1500 RPM until I start driving.

This seems high to me. Is this normal?

Once I let my car warm up (around 45 sec to 1 min), my RPMs drop to around 800-900. Usually startup is 1200. But yeah, give it time. She should settle back down.

I have a surging issue on my car while idling too, but it surges low. I'm talking down to about 500 rpms then jumps back up to 700ish. Almost feels like my car is going to shut off and then it kicks back up on it's own. Happens every time I stop and with the A/C on and off.

Maybe I should reset the ECU if it got rid of your problem
