My son just bought a 2005 6MT G35 at a police auction. When he gets it home tomorrow, he will look it over and decide whether to part it out or flip it. If he decides to part it out, are there any common parts that I should grab for my 2009 G37 6MT to keep on hand as spares?

I am sure there is something. But having driven my 2004 G35 for 209,000 miles and now owning a 2009 G37, I would say: No. Even the cargo nets are different.

Pardon the tree debris covering my recently washed car.
We brought the car home yesterday, and as far as body panels and interior, nothing is the same. Too bad because it’s the same color and the body is in very nice shape.
