G37 bogging down. Hello everyone, I just bought a 2009 G37 the car has been bogging down it has 195,000 miles on it. When I looked at the airbox one of the clamps was loose so then I tightened it cleaned maf sensor worked for one day then bogged on again does it every time bought a new maf sensor and now she's idling rough reseted battery for 15 minutes put back on start up again was idling rough called Infinity dealership they want me to bring it to them but the dealership is 40 minutes away don't want to drive it to the dealership why it's idling rough don't want to damage the engine what can I do please help what does anybody think the problem would be.

 

Is the car an automatic (7AT) or maual (6MT)

Do you get a check engine light? is it steady or does it flash?

if there is a CEL, are you able to read the codes? If so, please post them to this thread.

What are the exact symptoms? is it RPM limited, e.g., you cant get the engine to rev past 2500?

or is just real sluggish during acceleration, even though the RPMs go above 2500?

Does it shift really slow as in it holds a gear for a long time before shifiting up to the next gear? (assuming ist a 7AT.)

 

Yes it's a 7speed at transmission will not go past 2500 rpm when bogged down. I'm changing the spark plugs now. The service engine light came on as well as the vec and sel light start flashing when I was leaving my neighborhood. I reset the ECU and now the service light doesn't flash it idles rough like it's miss firing. Found oil on left side in spark plug bank last one closest to fire wall.
