I joined in 2005. 17 years now.

Anyone still around prior to 2005?

Joined in 2012 when I decided that I needed to find a replacement for my 2004.4 G35 sedan. Was on g35driver.com prior.

That's a crazy long time. I was a member of supraforums since 2001 before I even had a car.

November 2010, which was when the G37 has bubbled to the top of my Next Car list. Finally found my sedan little over a year later.

Not an OG member, but I do have a lot of posts, LOL.

I was confused by that as well. G35driver was the primary G forum back in 05. Is there a way to find the earliest posts on myG37? What were people talking about before the first G37 was released?

G37 came out in 2009 so we should see many members starting with g37... I joined shortly after that.

Joined back in 2011, here’s my post for when I finally bought my G37 in April 2013. I was on cloud nine when I posted this (there was some underlying personal achievement tied to buying my first new car)

Finally picked one up

Great find. A clean G37S with the Aero package (Black Grill and Spoiler). I always thought that they would have sold more of these cars if they just included the Aero package at the dealer.

My first post was in 2014 praising Smoky Quartz. Almost 9 years later, I don't think that color stood the test of time as well as the Platinum Silver car I was forced to buy at the time because it was the only "S" model available in Socal. Sport models did not seem as popular at the time because most G37 buyers did not understand the value of VLSD, close ratio steering rack, larger brakes, staggered light weight sport wheels, more contoured front fascia, etc....

Agree about folks not understanding the difference those upgrades make, but to be fair, they probably didn’t care much either (most G drivers I’ve met were just looking for a grocery getter with a little more pep than a Camry). I also wasn’t fully aware of the sport model specs, aside from the ones that were easy to spot.

Feel like one needs to be a special kind of car geek to seek out and appreciate these differences, which also probably explains why this website has been pretty great…

I agree. I question if many G drivers that purchased the cars new understood the difference between FWD and RWD. Of course on the resale market today, they are highly sought after because they are RWD.

The Sport Sedan is an absolute sleeper.

This article does a decent job of explaining the Sport feature set: https://global.infinitinews.com/en/r...edan-press-kit

Although, all 2013s received the sport grill, 7AT or 6MT. The article mentions the sport grill as a feature on the 6MT.

There was no "sport grille". There was a Midnight Grille, which was a dealer installed option, and wasn't a part of any of the standard equipment packages. The Midnight Grille slats were gloss black.

Here's a helpful spec sheet: https://www.infinitihelp.com/models/...ifications.php

Maybe you're thinking of the Sport Headlights, which had a reflective area of chrome that was like one shade darker than otherwise. Really stupid implementation of a good idea.
