Why Black, of course.

I do like the Graphite Shadow and Moonlight White as well. The LP seems very common. Nice but lots of them out there.

Lots of silver Journeys, but very few of the sport. The sport looks good in LP. The Journeys look somewhat utilitarian in this color.

I was just thinking that too!

A few have said that there's really not a "bad" color and that's true. The G is a good looking car- even today some 6 years after it was designed. Sure there may be certain colors that look "better" but there aren't bad colors on this car. I wish the Japanese companies would do a dark blue b/c I think that color looks good on a luxury car. Classy like black, but not black and probably just a wee bit less maintenance than black.

I also like khaki colors. We almost got the QX in a color called Serengeti Sand. It's a nice classy color that would look good on a G.

I was driving outta my 'hood today behind a CTS coupe in a dark red. That's a "bad" color for that car!

I have some neighbors with a Smoky Quartz (?) G37 sedan. Its a pretty sharp car, this color looks even better with dark windows. Random example:

Enjoying our Vibrant Red 2013.

Loving that Smoky Quartz...just as long as it does not look too gold. Not a fan of gold.

Are scratches and little dings very noticeable in that color?

Our 07 G35 was Blue Slate and our 09 is Black, the blue didn't show the swirls and minor chips etc compared to the black but it would be worse in that regard compared to lighter colors. The Infiniti clear coat and the paint in general is pretty fragile, easy to chip and scratch, but it sounds like you already knew that.

When I got my car the only 6MT I could find with black interior was OB - it took me 4 months to find it. I always wanted a white 6MT sedan with back interior so I got my car painted, my opinion may be skewed.

Ditto! It's does not strike you as a gold color. In fact, I saw one driving home tonight and perked up. Looked great!

Probably getting a clear-bra on the bumper and front of hood would be a plan, then just regular detailing should suffice. If you don't already have a good random buffer I'd look into a Porter Cable. But the darker you go in paint the more time you'll have to invest since everything shows up more on the darker colors.

I'm badly regretting getting moonlight white. I had the lower front lip put on and the front bumper painted/refinished (to get rid of rock chips) and it does not look good to me. I do see a lot of variance in the colors of the bumpers vs. hood/fenders with other moonlight whites on here, so I guess it's "normal." But it just seems unacceptable for a car of this price point. I even went to the dealership and there some brand new G37's and Q50's in MW that look like this. What is the deal? Shouldn't be so hard to have these parts match up better.

A couple of cell phone pics, but you can still see the difference. Am I crazy or this unacceptable? This is the 2nd time the shop has painted the bumper, not sure if it's better or worse lol. I literally want to paint the entire car or sell it, I'm so frustrated...
