Brake/Traction lights upon acceleration

Hello all, a few weeks ago I started noticing the brake light on the gauge cluster coming on upon heavy acceleration. Now it's turning on pretty much anytime I'm accelerating at 1/2 throttle or more. It's also tripping my traction control light on occasion.

My best guess would be a wheel speed sensor? But I wanted to see if anyone else has had this kind of issue. Not sure what to make of it.

Start with you break fluid. The reservoir has a float sensor that usually makes contact when the fluid is low. This brake light has the potential to affect your brakes since the system relies on enough fluid for ABS operation.

Hello:

It is definitely from brake fluid pitching forward under braking, any time you see the lights flicker it's time to check your fluid - or realistically, your front pads since it likely means they are worn down.

Good luck!

traction control uses abs. so if you get the brake light your going to get the traction light at some point.
