205k miles is impressive. Any major issues during your ownership? I had a 2004.5 G35 that I kept for 9 years as well (90k miles), no issues with that Gen either.

It was ahead of its time with the technology package and has provided such a great, interactive ownership experience for me. I'll definitely miss her when she's officially gone.
Didn't you have a 5.5 Gen Maxima that you owned for about as long? I don't remember anything else other than I enjoyed you being on the Org.

Wait, I friended you here! LOL

Either way... curiosity has me asking, what's next?

No major issue. The biggest headaches I've endured with this car are the sunroof drain valve replacements (first passenger than driver a year or so later). The car really has been amazing.

I did! I had a 3rd Gen, 4th Gen, 5.5 Gen, and this G. It's been a wild ride.

Thank you for the kind words. You sent me color films when I was in Texas. Free of charge!!! I enjoyed the camaraderie when I was very active.

Next? I went back to my dreaming-of-Bimmer days. 2017 340i Msport. I finally found the combination I wanted at a decent price for the market. Pretty subtle: Mineral Gray Metallic with Dakota Saddle Brown interior. But also has Track Handling Package, Adaptive M Suspension, M Performance Exhaust, and a few other packages for which I was looking. Had to go up to Pennsylvania and drive it back to get it.

It is still a stark difference to get into my G and drive it. The G is so much more a visceral car. In fairness, I haven't modded much of anything yet on the BMW. And the G had several significant mods selected by tons of research coupled with in-depth reviews from people like yourself, Rochester. This has been a great community overall. I'll miss it.

Best wishes to you, nelledge. Awesome next car you've found.

Film? For behind the clock face? I think I might remember that. Man, the Org was fun back then.

236k! Toyota who? Where is “Scotty Kilmer” when we need him?

Did a similar drive this week. 206 miles, filled with 8 gallons.

25.75mpg

Display said 26.1mpg, so it was close.

@nelledge Sad to see another member move on but it seems like you've had an impressive journey with the G and lots of (s)miles! They really are great cars in so many ways. Perhaps someday I'll join you in the Bimmer world as my next (or additional) car will be an E90 M3 most likely. Do you have any pics of your new vehicle?
