I was really thinking they would use the Maxima name for this thing.

On one hand, this feels terribly wrong. But on the other hand, I did do this years ago without regrets, so...

I love the way this looks, but I wouldn't want to remove the "S" badging and the rear would look wrong with "S" and Skyline badging combined. How hard was it to get the letters to line up correctly?

Long live the Sport Sedan formerly known as Skyline.

The letters are attached to a shared adhesive strip in order to install them lined up and spaced properly. As for getting it level and exactly where the INFINITI letters were... that was something I went outside the box for, and created a rigid template that hugged the bottom lip of the trunk. It felt like overkill, but I also wanted this to be perfect. Like I said, no regrets.

I hear you about the "S" badging. But I found somewhere else to put those.

And now it's official, I'm a thread *****.

Interesting.

The 2024 Q50 page on the Infiniti site now shows what looks like a cut and paste from 2023: https://www.infiniti.com/vehicles/sedans/q50.html

At the bottom, a Q60 is shown and we know that was discontinued.

And then, in Japan they are showing what looks like a new Q50 "Nismo" Skyline dressed up like the Nismo Z that was announced: https://www.motortrend.com/news/2024...t-look-review/

Praying that I'm wrong about the Skyline EV assumption, which would likely be a gussied up Ariya best case.
