Well, it took almost nine years for it to happen, but I've finally got my first rattle - a low, throaty, grumbling sound, as if someone is coughing, chuckling, or clearing their throat.

I know acoustics can be deceiving, but it sounds like it's coming from the right front quarter of the car, particularly the area of the front passenger door.

Had my regular mechanic check underneath the car, and everything's tight, connected, and hooked up to factory specs.

Lubed the door latches, checked the sunroof gaskets and shade, under the seats, nothing's loose in the trunk, glove compartment, or door storage pockets, so I'm guessing it's inside a door, body panel, or.........?

Hoping this sounds familiar to someone out there who heard the same or similar sound in their ride,and came up with a fix.

No matter how I try to take care of my car, the ratty roads around here seem to be shaking it loose.
