Question 2008 G37 6MT VLSD to 2008 G35 5AT Open Diff

Someone is willing to sell me a VLSD from a 2008 G37 6MT for only $150! It should be a direct fit on my 2008 G35 Journey, but I am worried about the driveshaft. I am aware that the pinion flanges are interchangeable but I've read that the manual pumpkin is slightly longer meaning that I would have to cut part of the end of the swapped pinion flange. Has anyone done this before? I am worried that cutting the flange will lead to vibration. Should I just swap the flanges and then cut off a piece of it or should I just buy a manual driveshaft? Any response would be helpful, thanks.
