Engine Light is on for whatever reason, just popped up suddenly. As far as I know car is doing fine. Lifted up the hood and heard a clicking noise from the back of the engine. Anybody have an idea?

 

Get the code read. No one is going to be able to guess without the proper information.

 

Very very very very vague. It's like typing 'my head hurts' into Web MD and being told you have cancer when in reality you have a rash on your butt and hit your head getting the butt cream.
Get the car scanned, either pick up a cheap little Bluetooth OBD2 dongle or have your mechanic read for codes. Could literally be anything.

 

FWIW, the OP is 18 and in his other thread he's "down to drop 10k on a twin turbo kit" for a used car with over 100K miles.

well here's my selfless insight. it's quite possible the diff fluid in the rear end is low. just top it off. straight 90 weight sae. by the way the rear end needs to be pitched up at an 45 degree angle to that of the floor so you get maximum fluid protection to the brass shear thrust bearings.

 

You can literally go to your local Autozone or O'Reilly and they will let you use a scanner for free, so long as you let them hold onto your license or ID. As for the clicking noise, there is no way that we can diagnose it without hearing it ourselves. Upload a video or something
