Custom Motordyne

I already posted this in the exhaust mega thread, but it's been a few days so I figured I would try here.
"Anybody try to achieve a custom Motordyne Shockwave sound yet? I'm thinking about having an exhaust shop do some custom work instead of dropping the 2k on a Motordyne. Looks like it's just a dual inlet, dual outlet with a single muffler and some tips really. Other than the relief chambers for drone.

Thoughts? Muffler suggestions?"

And I did look this up on YouTube and on here, and that search failed to yield any informative results.

Your paying for the quality and R&D to produce the Motordyne sound. You can spend less to make your own exhaust using similar components, but you won’t know how it’ll sound until you’re done. Might cost more to get a custom exhaust to sound to your liking that.

I love my Motordyne on my Z. Provides that deep tone that a majority of people don’t run on VQs.

I doubt it would cost more to basically replicate what they have done. But I agree, they put their time into R&D and their quality build. Plus if I get done and it doesn't sound like it, I'll be disappointed. I love that deep tone/unique sound that Motordyne has to it compared with other exhausts.

to replica it, you'd have to have a similar style muffler chamber and add the helmholtz resonators in the same location. Tony at Motordyne put a of time in the design. I've seen early versions of the exhaust on the G35.
Maybe you can buy their muffler and have a shop build it off that. They sell it separate.
