engine vin number

I bought a 2015 Q40 with 60k miles but have started getting suspicious that someone may have put a higher mileage engine into the car. Does anyone know where I can find the engine numbers that match the cars vin?

The engine "serial" number will be stamped on the rear/passenger side of the engine somewhere between cylinder #5 and the transmission bell housing.

That said, I am not aware of any database that would tell you if "X" engine serial number is assigned to a specific cars VIN.

What makes you believe your engine was swapped?
