Throttle body swap Question

Will Maxima larger 70mm throttle bodies fit on VQ intakes from a G37 without any modifications? I saw that swap on a 370Z and was wondering will it work for my G37

to make it work, you need a transition plate/adapter. EPS sells a kit, throttle bodies, wire harness (just 1 for the passenger side, not needed for the driver side), and the adapter plate.

Simplistic Garage sells a kit for 75mm throttle bodies.

Is that transition plate to make up for the size difference? And is that spacer really needed?

i forgot how the mounting location of the TB relative to the manifold opening is, but here is a picture to show the difference in diameter.

without the transition adapter, it’s a big drop off and will disrupt the air flow.
