Hey so I’m really interested in doing a (as the title suggests) 2013 G37x sedan front bumper conversion and adding the chin and having a custom splitter made. My current non sport bumper has a pretty big gouge from the previous owner and a lot of mismatched paint. Having it patched up and repainted in moonlight white is like a 400$ project and I don’t even like the bumper anyways. So i figured if it’s not much more, why not get the one I actually like (the sport bumper and sport chin).
but it’s wildly outdated, the links don’t even work, and I was wondering if anyone’s done this recently and can link sites and updated parts. Or give information as to any and all pieces needed and the sites they can be found on today. I’m in Canada so ordering from American sites is gonna kill me on duties and shipping but I doubt Canada has any suppliers for the parts needed.
I also found this: https://partify.ca/products/new-pain...31238069485701
which has an option to have it made into the sport bumper, and it comes painted in QAA, which makes my life so much easier IF the other necessary parts don’t need to be painted, such as grills/fog lights etc. But will that bumper fit as a simple bolt on for my non sport G37x? The page does not list it as a “x” bumper so I’m weary as to if the x and non x G37 sedans even have the same bumper set ups.
either way, any and all information on the above questions is very much appreciated!
for fun, here’s why I’m currently so annoyed with my current bumper:
it doesn’t come across much on photos but it rlly ruins the front end in person.
Curious to know which route you take. I'd also like to swap out the front bumper to sport. Check out this thread for the part numbers and some more info. Hardware seems to be transferable easily it seems. $500 CAD seems pretty good with the paint. Maybe somebody with experience can chime in.
