Which test pipes?

I have a Motordyne E370 Shockwave on my G and I currently have stock cats. I wanna move towards test pipes but I don’t know where to go. I don’t wanna spend a crazy amount of money (I already did on the exhaust). What sounds best HFC, resonated, or unresonated?

I have ISR resonated test pipes with muffler delete. No rasp, and no CEL.

ART pipes for the best of both worlds (sound with no rasp, and gains). You can sell them for almost the same as you buy them to be honest. But they are $400+ used.

Already haveing a shockwave exhaust, if you do any option that's catless you're going to be significantly louder, and there will be a big differenct that you'll definitely notice.

If you just want it to get a little louder and gain a little HP, do HFC.

If you want all the power and ALL the sound do just straight test pipes. If you do resonated test pipes, make sure the packing material is the steel wool style and not fiberglass. As hot as it's gonna get, fiberglass will burn out very quickly and you'll end up with a non-res test pipe anyway.

Art pipes as mentioned will get you all the gains with also very very good sound. They don't take anything away from the volume of the exhaust. It just takes out the resonance that just comes out as "noise" otherwise. If you listen to G's with the shockwave that have art pipes and ones that have normal test pipes, you should be able to hear the difference.

Basically it depends on what you want to get out of the exhaust. There's no right or wrong, other than the one wrong would be getting the fiberglass resonated test pipes.

the only problem is that I have AWD, so the ART pipes do not work 😭

Not sure if this is your cup of tea but ART pipes CAN be an option if you want them bad enough :

You would think that would have some effect on the sound waves going down into the resonator(s)... Are there any sound clips from AWD G's that have done this? Now I'm curious, as I have a G37x Sedan....
