Traction control lights?

When I put my snow tires on and accelerate hard my traction control light illuminates solid and won't reset till I restart the car. Traction control doesn't work when the light is on obviously. What causes this? Tires are all the same size?

All the snow tires are the same size, and the size of them is the OEM tire size?

I got winters and all seasons with the car and they were all 245/40r18's on stock rims. Car is lowered on eibach springs as well. No issues with summer tires tho

I'm assuming your car is AWD?

245/40/18 is quite a bit shorter than stock 245/45.

Maybe one or two of your snow tires is worn out? Or the air pressures are off? They're probably easier to break traction with also. So if there is any slip, the traction computer may see too big of a discrepancy.

Sorry got a 2010 6mt. Tires do have a slight bit of camber wear on the inside. Tires are not directional. Could I have them flipped around so the better edge rides on the inside to wear them even or would that make it worse?

Check your wheel speed sensors. They could have been bumped during the installation of your new tires and a hard accel is all it needs to nudge it the rest of the way out of position.

Just an idea. It's odd that the light just stays on and won't go away.
