ive replaced steering wheel control (thinking the on/off button is defective) and ascd switch (not fun). i have a 6mt. what else could it be? is there a fuse associated with cruise control that is not labeled cruise control? any insight? brake switch (brakes lights work fine)?

You say cruise control light doesn't work. Does cruise control actually engage?

 

cruise control indicator does not turn on when i press the on/off button on the steering wheel control. nor does it engage when i try to set the speed just incase its just a indicator not working. and i do not have icc.

 

so i guess the brake pedal has a ascd switch too. ima try that one with the one i removed. they both share same part number

 

so this issue has finally been resolved. it appears 2 years ago the dealer replaced my ecm but installed the wrong ecm which was for icc. i just got this resolved and the dealer has been cool. so now my cruise works lol. so it turns out the wrong ecm can be installed and the car will show no signs of anything wrong lol

i dont know if i buy that answer from the dealer; there is a switch under the dash next to the brake light switch. If the brake light switch goes the car wont start and you get all types of lights; VDC off, etc. I bet all they did was replace the cruise control switch, and charged Infiniti for an ECM!!

 

no the ecm conclusion was my conclusion. i told them and had them verify that they had indeed installed the wrong ecm. via previous work order. i replaced all the switches (both clutch and brake) already before hand with new oem parts. and bc the ecm for my car cant be purchased anymore from infiniti i provided my own ecm i got from ebay and in return they hooked me up with a new dash installed. it was pretty awesome.
