Spare removal results in low rigidity of trunk liner
Going to remove it eventually anyway when I install airbags.
I won't be paying for a tow. Read the thread. Also, read the thread to answer other question.
Also question was about providing stability, not asking if people think it's a good idea to do it.

No offense, for me personally having a dude come over and change my tire for me is one of the most emasculating things I can imagine. If you’re not on bags yet, also a bad decision from my experience, why did you remove the tire? Why not make some foam stilts for the spare area?
You do you....A buddy of mine asked me the same question in my driveway ....
I went into my garage a pulled out a large heavy duty trash compactor type garbage bag .
I sprayed a light coating of 3m adhesive inside the bag and poured in packing peanuts about quarter of the way , put the bag in his spare tire area and shaped it from the outside of the bag to the exact shape of his spare area , opened the bag and poured in more peanuts & sprayed more adhesive and repeated until flush and level with the surrounding trunk area then went at it with more than enough adhesive and sealed the bag with a zip tie .......Within minutes it was hard as a rock and a perfect fit that weighed next to nothing . Pull the carpet back and done ......it is extremely supportive as well and removable as it turns into a solid block
