I was thinking about using an oil additive but I am on the fence about it.
Are any you guys using an oil additive and what kind of additive are you using and for what reason? I just like some opinions on it.

There is no need.
Simply use a name brand synthetic 5W30 and change it every 4,000 - 5,000 miles.

What additional needs do you have to supplement the oil you put into a mass produced Nissan engine?

There's probably a million G's and Quests and Maximas running around with 200-300K miles that have been using mystery oil from the barrels at the oil change place.

 

With synthetic you could definitely go over 5000 if you are not in a 'heavy duty cycle' meaning city, track, etc.

 

I went to oil changer today and they asked me is I wanted some oil additive. My response was No tks you.
