Looks like I need new TB's

Seems to be a common issue with the 3.7 but since I got the car (used) it had some wonkyness at idle and startup (sometimes stall), it was rare so I just filed it under "older car" and moved on. Now the CEL is on, I ordered an OBD2 scan tool before I buy new TB's but I'm 99% sure that's the issue. But part of me wonders if it's worth the extra money to go bigger and upgrade the exhaust should give me 20 or so HP? I'll most likely remain stock anyway but if I didn't have a new Mustang GT, I think I'd get a supercharger kit for the 3.7 LOL I've kind of fallen for the car. It's such a good sleeper, no one really suspects it to be fast from the looks of it.

I won't bother with the cleaning as I put on about 1600 miles a month and need it to be pretty reliable.

I'd wait to see what the OBD scan reveals before purchasing new throttle bodies. Sounds like a dirty MAF or the bodies are due for a cleaning and re-learn.

It might be a P0106 - Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem

I been getting that code for a good year now and all I do is just reset it every time. There's a TSB for the code that involves doing a software update but I don't feel like paying a infiniti dealer $130 just to update it.

I tried spraying the map sensor with brake cleaner, cleaned the throttle bodies, performed all kinds of initialization for the throttle bodies, cleaned both maf sensors and nothing fixed it.

My car still has the intermittent problem of wanting to stall when starting the car after it has already been warmed up from a previous drive.

Cold starts it NEVER has a issue. This problem only happens on warm starts and it's very intermittent. Happens maybe 1 time a month

Update: I got my code scanner a day after the CEL turned off and the car started to run like a champ again. I haven't ran the scanner to look for stored codes yet as I've been working 12-15 hours a day lol

I really suspect it's the throttle bodies though. Sometimes when I mash the gas there's more lag than there should be and the RPM's aren't always level.

Well the lag almost sounds normal. This is the only thing i hate about the 7AT

Please don't confuse throttle lag for the 7AT's reluctance to downshift. Two different things.

Find the code before you keep thinking TBs. Plenty of others things to do first. Clean them, reset battery, use some Seafoam, install a grounding kit. All of that will make the car run better and still be much less than new TB's.

I know you said you cleared did you happen to remember what the code is. It might help with narrowing down the issue.

Hi, yeah I got the code P0106... something about the MAP sensor. I erased the code and haven't done much research on it.
