Fog light removal with OE Front Lip

I bought some Morimoto xBs foglights for the G and tried to install them this weekend. Has anyone with an OE front lip removed their foglights without having to take the lip off? It seems to the be the only way.

Remove the fasteners at the front of the fenderwell liner and pull the liner out of the way. Wheel off is easier.

I had the liner clips out and the liner pulled away but it looks like, with the sports bumper and sports lip, I have to take the lip off to the get the fog light out. Not sure what Nissan/Infiniti was thinking with the design but that doesn't seem right. Wondering if anyone has installed new fog light (trying to install Morimotos xBs) with the lip on.

Just a plain '12 but a G37s 6spd sedan...that's somewhat unicornish right?

Hey man, i replaced mine with a jdm set and had to take lip off and then a few bolts in corner of each side and pulled back liner- housing comes out fairly easily once you reach the back of fog lights, not much maneuvering space there but very doable, didnt even jack up car so not too bad , good luck
