I've a few hundred dollars as PayPal credit, and last night I was *this* close to ordering a new TBW under-tray, when something else came up and laid claim to that money.
With the kid going to college this year, I volunteered a complete hold on car mod expenses. But then I sold my front CO's a few weeks ago, and had this PayPal credit I was going to dip into.
So now I'm thinking Xmas present. "Here, go buy this aluminum panel that I don't need and will almost never see."
I totally agree on the never see it. I think i would see it every 3-4 months while changing the oil. But it is a piece of mind knowing you have this shield protecting your oil filter ETC when our car is that low to the ground.
I don't agree on the car mod hold. But i don't have kids either so
Yes, Heat Rises, but as you're driving, an Under Tray will help to remove the hot air from the engine bay. Think of the Under Tray as more of an Aerodynamic Device. It is intended (OEM & Aftermarket) to control how the air flows Under the car. There is a Vacuum that is generated on the small openings that are in the Under Tray while you're driving, which pull the air out of the engine bay. So, in other words, it's better to Have an Under Tray that Not.
I haven't changed my oil since installing my Zspeed one but the fitment was great even with my sway bars.
Funny you mention sway bars. I have Hotchkis sway bars which have zerk fittings, but with the ZSpeed under tray they are pretty tough to get at with a grease gun and almost impossible to tighten down the connection. So if anyone needs this I just ordered one of these which should ease access to the zerk fittings on that pesky front sway bar: ($12.99 on Amazon)
