Trunk won't shut.

I just notice today that my trunk won't shut since Friday evening.
Anyone has similar issue before? I am afraid it is going to run out of battery before I can go to dealer next week.

Thats weird.

Is the little yellow handle thing on the inside of the lid being pulled keeping it open?

Or maybe the button on the dash is stuck?

Not being insulting, but was your intelligent key fob in the trunk with the car locked and windows up when trying to shut it? If so the trunk doesn't shut to prevent you locking the keys in there.

No it wsn't. I, at least temporary fixed it now. The hook was stuck, so I manually unstuck it. It seems to work now.

A question to u all. When I close my trunk, sometimes I have to do it twice. I always thought I just have to pull down harder. Now I am thinking maybe I just have a defective one. How are ur experiences?

Don't have any issue with the trunk, closes with 1 try. Dealership should be able to take care of it.

Mine does this once in a while, sometimes it take 3-4 tries. I will tell the dealership next week to adjust it.

Same thing here. Won't latch if closed from the left. It must be closed from the right side, and slammed. The car is a 2010 with 200 miles, so I assume something was misaligned from the factory.

Looking forward to hearing the resolution on this one.

I just bought a 2010 Sedan and the trunk closes just fine. The dealer picked the car up a couple days later to install the wood trim and the loaner car's trunk is hard to shut. I have had the loaner for almost a week and I have had problems with it the whole time.

I also have a problem where I park the laoner and I get out and the car is beeping/buzzing. I look in and the diplay in the instrument cluster says to put the car in park. It is in park but I have to reach in and bump it forward for it to stop.

I just experienced this problem today. My 2010 G37x sedan's trunk won't pop. I tried:
- The button by the steering column
- The button on the trunk
- The button on the fob

With a cloth hanger, I reached into the trunk through the arm rest hole in the back seat, and popped it finally. But once it's closed I can't open it using any of the above 3 methods. I searched and found this:

Trunk won't open - G35Driver

Seems to be the relay. I guess I have to visit the dealership

Edit: Never mind, I misread the original post. Thought the OP meant the trunk won't open, which is the problem I'm having right now.
