I have a 2011 infiniti g25 2.5L V6 and i was wondering if exhaust parts from a g37 will fit? Not headers of course but from the cats back... will exhaust mods work if i get a part meant for the 3.7?

 

Good question, not many 25s here, I assume the piping diameter from the headers to cats would be smaller, and smaller all the way back, but ????

 

Exhaust mods will not work with the 2.5 V6 unless the engine is retuned. No canned tunes are available for that motor.

 

Why not? Modern OE exhaust isn't really more restrictive than most aftermarket, and these a mass airflow cars. I'd think even open exhaust would be well within the PCM fuel trim correction range.

 

idk if you still need this or anyone in that matter, but i recently put an entire magna flow exhaust(y-pipe, muffler/ single exit), z1 testpipes( for the g37) and mishimoto intakes( for the g35) on my g25. as far fitment goes, ive had zero issues, but of course, youll need a tune which i am getting soon. hope this answered your question. chassis wise, its identical to that of the g37, internals wont fit such as pistons and what not, i could be wrong though. also put g37 coilovers on my g25 lol

 

Uses a different set of Cats compared to the Sedan and Coupe? If not, the Sedan's exhaust should bolt right up. He just needs to do a little research and compare with the sedan. Lots of pictures and details here on the community.
