I certainly don't think the Stinger is a great looking car (a little busy in my opinion) but I certainly don't dislike it. And I love the hatch design in the rear...very practical car especially being available in awd.

If the stinger depreciates at the rate I am hoping it does it may be my next car in a few years. That 10 year/100k miles power-train factory warranty is very attractive to me.

10 speed in the new Mustangs is pretty insane if you ask me. The new styling is too 'try hard' to appeal to younger generation. Iconic Fascia that draws in the generation that can actually afford the car annnnnd you change it ?

Be nice if they put the anticipated Black S powertrain into a new Z but I know that would be too much to hope for.

Subby introducing a new powertrain in the WRX/STI is kinda nice to look forward to.

Mazda putting a 2.5t into the Mazda6 with a 6 speed soon.

Golf R seems fun.

Would totally consider a Civic Type R now that the hype has died down. Seeing a lot dropping to 32k range already.

Totally forgot to mention this...the new 6 looks very promising and should stack up well against the new accord. So glad Mazda and Honda are keeping the 6 speed going. If they offered the new mazda6 wagon in the states I'd already have ordered a 6 speed version.

Call me crazy, but I love wagons. I wish more manufacturers would stray from the suv/crossover craze and offer wagons, and those that do typically only offer them with autos and the smaller engine variants...except for cadillac for a few years and other german companies. For instance I love the Acura TSX wagon, but no manual and no 6 cyclinder. If they offered it with a 6 speed I'd strongly consider it.

In my opinion, the mazda6 wagon is absolutely stunning.

Not a Wagon fan myself but the Mazda 'Speed 6' Sedan has me entering the same mindset as the G37 had me....Gotta have it.

Liked my old Mazda 3 ('08), hated the new styling...that was awful. The new styling looks really good IMO and they seem to be the new 'tween' manufacturer between Luxury, performance, reliability.

Also, interested to see how they do a AWD version with the i-active or they'll just do a FWD with LSD or something along those lines. The Old Speed6 and S60 R used the Haldex unit which impacted the reliability severely enough that the Speed 6 was killed after only two years.

Agree 100%...a friend of mine just recently got rid of his old speed 6. The car checked off all the right boxes and was a blast to drive but he just couldn't keep the thing on the road. I'll be interested to see what mazda does with a new speed 3 or 6, if they end up making either

I really like the specs on the G70 ... this is the 4 banger with the 6MT ...its down on HP from the G but torque is nearly the same...

Its a tough call...apprx. 100 HP/lbft of torque for the V6 auto or a 6 MT

I'm having a hard time getting excited about this. The 2.0 DI engine is already available in Japan, and it makes the same power as the USDM 2.5, but on something like 98 octane gas.

Rumors surround a hybrid setup, but I'll be shocked if that includes a MT.

Is there any gas + hybrid manual combo?

Add in carbon deposits which seem to affect every direct injected car, and I lean heavily towards picking up a 2019 STI.

Except the styling is hideous, the red seats obnoxious, and traction is limited at low speeds

I have a hard time getting excited about the CTR. Why is it, my RWD G can make a left turn from a stop, with heavy throttle, and virtually no wheel spin, but my wife's Accord V6 smokes the tires doing the same thing

I think asking the front wheels to steer and drive at the power level is just a little too much.

Has the new 2.4 been confirmed for the WRX/STI? It's about effing time.

I'm waiting to see what Honda does with the next ILX. If they put the CTR engine in with their 8 speed DCT, SH-AWD and non-Predator looks, it could be legit. Especially for like $35K.

I saw one at the autoshow last weekend. People were looking at me funny because my girls and I genuinely started laughing out loud. It was the most ridiculous looking clown car I've ever seen.

Never. Ever. Not in a million years.

I suppose if I were a skinny, 16 year old hairless boy who liked to wear a lot of silk.

Not that there's anything wrong with silk.

^ i hand't even heard of the G70 until now. decent looking, and an interesting powertrain combo. RWD, LSD, 6MT. check, check and check. the 6MT sport model comes loaded with many of the goodies and trim pieces that i'd want in a package. the quilted nappa looks nice too.

i'm not on board with the Stinger styling, but the G70 doesn't offend me. i'll probably test one out to see what it's like. not sure about the 2.0T so that could be a sticking point. the 6MT with their 3.3T would be sweet.

Genesis is definitely trying to make a name for themselves, investing a lot of capital in the brand and offering up a lot of value and extras as part of the 'ownership experience'. this is similar to how Lexus really established themselves apart from the Germans. that, and the rock-solid reliability too. i even saw a piece the other day where Genesis delivers the vehicle in an enclosed trailer to one's home, and will do the same for service appointments too. cute.

Wonder how the demand for stick shift on secondary market will evolve in the next 10-20 yrs...

We're nearly at the point when no new MTs are available, folks looking for one a decade or two from now are really gonna have their work cutout for them. Or maybe they won't even know what a clutch pedal is....

I feel bad that I'm not sad about manuals disappearing. Even the CRAPCO 7AT in the G is OK. I actually really enjoyed the CVT in the Maxima... CVTs are OK with enough HP. And boxes like the ZF8 are phenomenal. If I feel the need to shift gears I have my motorcycle (or Forza lmao).

Oh, the Type R is by far the most hideous car I've ever seen. I wouldn't be surprised if my hair started to naturally develop frosted tips....

I think it would be something fun to beat on for a couple years and sell at the price it was purchased at since Honda fanboys are always going to pay top dollar for one. With the limited amount of fun driver's cars, I'd be willing to go this route until something more appealing was introduced.

I'm more interested in the new Mazdaspeed6 coming out more than anything. Pretty happy with my wife's CX-5 so I'm hoping the Speed6 follows suit.
