'13 G37x - Maintenance Questions/Advice

Recently, I just got this car about 2 weeks. It's CPO '13 G37x 7AT with 35,6k miles. I'm loving it so far. I think I'm going to do some basic maintenance myself. I just want make sure I get most of them down correctly.

1. Engine oil & filter change. My picks are Pennzoil Plat Full Synthetic (5W-30) & Purolator Synthetic Oil Filter PSL14610 (bigger filter than OEM one). How much oil do I need if I use bigger filter than OEM one? 5.25 quarts, right?
2. Front/rear diff oil change. Do I really need to do this? I mean I've read the manual, it doesn't require to do unless you want Optional Premium Upgrade that suggests to change @ 30k miles interval. I saw DIY for rear diff oil change but I don't see DIY for front diff oil change.
3. Brake fluid change. The manual suggests to do every 15k miles, but I don't think it never done as the service history on Carfax doesn't state any beside engine oil/filter change. I don't know if I need to. I never do brake fluid change myself, I am afraid I may mess something up.
4. Change engine air filter & cabin air filter (this probably easy).
5. Rotate tires.
6. New set of winter tires for next winter (where I live get a lot of snow). I think the car still has original tires.

Anything else that I need?

on a '13 with that mileage, your list looks ok. if i was you, as the new owner @ 35k miles, i'd do the diff and brake fluids for sure. i would skip only if you had service records stating it had been done - which you don't.

the bigger oil filter adds very little capacity so don't worry about buying extra oil.

engine & cabin filters are extremely easy on the G. Nissan did us a big favour with the engine air filters..

no need to worry about coolant or power steering flush just yet. give those another year or two.

I'm currently looking at same car with same miles. Mind if I ask how much you paid out the door? This one place I'm goign to this Saturday, They want $23,500. It is 13 with 35k miles.

What color did you get? Did your car have a lot of service records on carfax?

I bought a CPO G37xS around 3 weeks ago with 46k on it. I have service records of oil changes as well but I am still going to change my oil to Penzoil full synthetic soon. I'm also going to do the front and rear diff soon because there are no records of it, and I'll know exactly what fluid is in there. Plus, it looks super easy and the dealership wants $$$$$$ to do it. I know that CPO means it's supposed to be scrutinized but I still don't trust them to do the right thing, so I'll make sure it's done.

Look my signature "it's beautiful black", I've bought out right @ $21,800. This is "out of door" price (including all taxes and dmv fees). I'm in Central NY. This is CPO car comes with 3 years/unlimited miles warranty. I didn't buy additional warranty they offer. This car been bought and serviced in this same dealer place from same owner. He upgraded his car to Q60 . Only things I see on the carfax about services are oil & filter change + tire rotation.

Thx, I'm going this Saturday to look at one. It's listed at 20,999 so I'm thinking 23.5$ they will want.

its 2013 with 34k miles cpo but not a lot of carfax details.

There is also one for same price and all carfax details but it is white. Living in NYC I won't be able to keep it clean and fresh so looking for gray one lol.

Not bad, don't pay $20,990 as it's listed. Go down more, ask straight up for "out of door" price and start negotiate from "out of door" price. So if they ask $23.5 is "out of door" price. Tell them that you want $21k and so on. Prepare to walk away lol . Black one is very sexy at night man

I'm going that route also. I tried to find the actual Nissan Hypoid Super GL-5 80w-90 to put in there but I can't locate it anywhere. I think they only have it in the 55 gallon drums at the dealership, unless someone on here knows something I don't

I used Royal Purple gear oil in my 07 Sport rear diff. Haven't checked he specs on my 12 X yet. As long as the fluid meets Nissan's spec you should be good (it usually will say on the back of the bottle).

I seen some posts regarding 13 G37x 7AT, I picked up a CPO-Lease 13 G37x 7AT with 19,900 miles and out the door was roughly 22K. I picked my model from Infiniti of Clarendon Hills (Illinois) which is one of the highest volume stores in their Midwest market. Hope this info helps you guys out.
