Update - I am currently at 152k on my 2012 G37 and this is what has gone down with the G until this point:

- Small coupler behind the engine where coolant flows broke at 120k. Replaced with OEM part.
- Valve cover gaskets on both banks were replaced at 147k. Replaced gaskets with FELPRO.
- Small EVAP house that connects to the EVAP solenoid broke at 149k. Replaced hose with OEM part.

My thoughts on the G: So far the G37 has not left me stranded, so I consider this car very reliable (knocking on wood). I dig the G37 very much and I plan on putting more miles on it. Just wished the transmission was a little more responsive at times. Most of the time, it's fine.

Have to change fuel sending unit soon It doesn't give me an accurate fuel reading at times.. that will be next week.. Not to expensive on line.. looks pretty easy to do under the back seat..

Mine is 2010 and has just about 200k on it and only thing other than wear and tear is my pulley bearings but its a cheap change

'12 AWD Sedan = 139K miles...For the most part, the car has been very reliable and I enjoy doing the work myself (except for the recent trans upgrade)
Major repairs/mods
1. Torque Converter/Trans replaced with Level 10 Bulletproof 7AT upgrade (@137K)
2. Shocks replaced with KYB's (@120K)
3. Replaced thermostat and old radiator hoses (@100K added Z1 silicone hoses)
4. Replaced v-belt, tensioner pulley and idler pulleys with Continental v-belt and hardware (@105K)
5. Replaced both camshaft sensors and crank sensor (@100K went OE)
6. Replaced spark plugs with Denso (@100K miles)

Maintenance/upkeep
1. Synthetic fluids (oil, diffs, transfer case, power steering, brake)
2. Coolant flush (every 35K)
3. Clean aFe dry drop in filters (every 15-20K)
4. Seasonal wheel/tire swap (stock set with snow tires, G35 Rays with DWS06's for spring/summer)

To Do:
1. Replace bolts/nuts on Fast Intentions Catback with ARP bolts/nuts
2. Install HFCs

where did you replace your transmission fluid? Dealership? Or transmission shop?

What issues was the car giving that made you replace the pulley bearings? I.e. what causes you to change them?

2009 G37 XS Sedan in Toronto, ON Canada here.

Purchased 3 years ago at 200,xxx km. Currently at 265,xxxkm (over 165k Miles). 95% sure the Gallery Gaskets were NEVER replaced.
But I tend to let the car warm up til the revs fall down to 1200rpm b4 driving out.

Tranny Oil, Diff fluids, Brake pads replaced when first purchased from the auction.

Fully Synthetic Oil changes (Pennzoil Plat High Mileage) every 8,000km on the dot. Does not burn/ consume a single drop of oil between changes.

Power Steering pump replaced @ 210,xxx km (DIY, used a $75 rebuilt one)

Rear Subframe replaced @ 220,xxx km (Purchased off salvage auction from Arizona for $350 shipped to Canada and spent a weekend doing the swap). Canadian Roads kill cars really bad....

Front Left wheel bearing & serpentine belt changed @ 235,000km

Valve Cover Gaskets, Intake Manifold Gasket, and spark plugs @ 255,000 km

New Brake discs and pads replaced again, and new Front n Rear Sway bushings & end links at 264,000km

Ownership has been predictable and pretty affordable.... aside from the P/S Pump and the Rear Subframe failures. The car is driven wide open/ redlined on a daily basis.

Knock on wood* hopefully the gallery gaskets won't go!

2011 G25 RWD, purchased new. 162,000 miles so far. Only things needed outside of routine maintenance and normal wear items has been both front wheel bearings. One at about 120k, the other at 140k. Most reliable car I have owned.

This user on Reddit was recently asking about a model with 340K miles that was being sold for $2500: https://www.reddit.com/r/G37/comment...340k_for_2500/

Incredible as this one shatters the 200K mile barrier. Would love to know the full story behind how the owner racked up so many miles.

I am late to the party but was hoping people would add more updates. 2013 G37X, 104,000 miles. Outside of normal wear and tear items the Powersteering Rack needed to be replaced at like 90,000 miles thats all. I just replaced plugs and coils as part of a preventative mx job and was thinking about what I might do down the road.

Rack replaced at 90k miles? Were you losing fluid from the reservoir? These racks hold up pretty well, but I have seen a few failures reported.
