I'm back! Well kinda.

After about a year and a half of ownership of my Lexus GS350 fsport I just traded it in on a Q50S Red Sport. It was not an easy decision to make, but hopefully it'll be a good move onto something more powerful and easier to mod. Plus I got a pretty good deal!

I'll pick it up tomorrow, but it's a black on black Q50S RS AWD. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Awesome to have you back, those GS are the best looking Lexus, but that Red Sport is a hot ticket. Look forward to your impressions.

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome back. I love my IS350 F-sport, but I do admit that I have been checking out the Q50 Red Sport

Thanks guys! I loved the Lexus and it was difficult to trade it in, but ultimately I wanted something I could modify and the Lexus was too expensive to mod. Based on what little research I've done in the past 12 hours the Q50RS will be much cheaper to modify, plus it's much faster. Heck the GTHaus axle back for the Lexus cost almost twice as much as the cat back for the Q50RS, so there's a good start.

I had no intention to trade the Lexus in yesterday but I was offered almost $10,000 off on a brand new Q50RS, so it was difficult to pass up their offer.

Congratulations. Starting from an Infiniti and now leaving the Lexus, are you worried about Mpg? I'm assuming the Lexus got / will get better MPG than both infiniti's, not too sure. I love my g37 but wish I got it in a 6MT . The 7AT transmission is killer. Haha regardless, congratulations.

Thanks. I wish it had a manual, but I'm fine without it. It wasn't a deal breaker for me.

Actually the Lexus got horrible gas mileage. In the 11,523 miles I put on the Lexus I averaged 18.8mpg. The G37S I had before got better mileage. Plus the tank in the Lexus is super small, I believe from close to empty it would only hold 13gal. But I have a Volvo I daily that is much more fuel efficient, and plus my drive to work is only about 3 miles each way. So I'm not too concerned about mileage.

On a road trip I achieved 27 mpg in the G37S, the most I got with the Lexus was about 22 mpg.

Congrats on the Red Sport, it's the car I'm considering to replace my g. Keep us updated on your new purchase, including any mods. Would love to see how you make out and learn as you do about modding the RS.

Awesome! What are your first plans for the new baby? I saw one with the chrome grille trim vinyl wrapped. It looked really nice. I'm sure it would look even better painted to match the body color. Keep us posted!

First thing is to tint the windows, then change all of the bulbs to led, it bothers me that at this price point they weren't already led, then the first big mod would be GTHaus and winter tires. The stock wheels will become my winter set up, then I'll try to find a set of wheels and tires and springs/coil overs the following year. After that I'm not sure.

Black w/ gunmetal FTW! Very nice look Kurt, but that window trim needs the stealth treatment

Have fun in that one, I know you will!
