While the carpet was drying I test fit the bride rail. Now im Excited to get a seat. After reading Amazon reviews on the r600 I'm probably too fat. 5'8 195 with a belly waist 35 ish. So back to drawing board

The Sparco R600 is a great seat, but the butt/thigh area is where it is initially pretty tight- it does break in a bit over time. It is actually not too tight through the waist. However, I would strongly recommend trying to sit in one first just to be sure.
In re seats: bucket width is probably most important. Go to ultrashield.com and download their measuring pdf to learn how wide you need. All the good seat makers specify bucket widths and such.
As for noise, you might consider epoxying a longitudinal bar on the bare floor pan to change resonant frequency if it's too noisy. Won't do anything for transfered sound but will help if the floor resonates like a drum head.

So with the carpet about there was noticeable increase in noise. Road noise and exhaust drone. Not too bad, bearable for sure. With sound deadening removed road noise increase more but again not too bad. With the carpet back in, which I have not done yet and dont plan to until I'm certain drain tubes are fixed I can see one hardly noticing the difference. I did not do any of the trans tunnel or under console dash area.
just floor boards front and rear. Not under rear seats nor trunk.
Total weight was 3 pounds each side for a total of 6 pounds.

Dry ice makes the mastic brittle so you can whack it with a hammer and it shatters. Easy clean-up for the part that does so, some will refuse to part from the floor and then you have to use a heat gun to melt it, making for a somewhat gooey mess.

That's a neat trick I will have to remember the next time I plan to gut a car of all excess weight.
If you want to know another trick you can do with removal of the tar sound deadening in hard to reach areas, I would recommend getting a 5 gallon bucket and throw the dry ice block inside. Then, dump in a full bottle of isopropyl alcohol and smash the dry ice until it becomes a paste. Then you can throw the paste onto weird surfaces like the transmission tunnel.
