Maybe a dealer service department can look up the VINs to see the service histories.

So I'm going through Carmax and they don't have any of the service records from the previous owner. Only the vehicle history records from Autocheck.

I'd check with an Infiniti dealer to see if they can run the VINs through their system.

Is it odd that both vehicles, located at the same Carmax, same packages and condition and are priced the same, despite mileage being a bit different?

Why is that odd? 7000 miles is nothing. I do that in 6 months.

Not saying it is at all. Wasn't sure if that mileage would justify a price difference or not. I can see why it wouldn't.

I would probably look elsewhere other than carmax. They tend to be over priced on cars like these.

Thing is, I've been looking for the past 6 months. And these actually are priced okay - just below KBB.

So I was able to get maintenance records for both and they were maintained well. It looks like the LP sedan met more of the scheduled mile checks, but overall nothing crazy between the two.

I noticed the LP sedan had a couple notes for:

Tire(s) balanced
Tire(s) mounted
Two tires mounted

I'm guessing that just means they rotated the wheels side to side? Since it's a staggered setup, this doesn't usually happen does it?

"Tires mounted" generally means tires were mounted on rims. "Tires balanced" generally means the tire/wheel assembly was balanced. In other words, tires were probably replaced.

Are these cars you're considering AWD or RWD? If the latter, it's a staggered setup. If the former, it's a square setup.

So it looks like the first time the tires mounted and balanced showed up was at 11K and then again at 23K.

And these are RWD cars.

In general, it doesn't look like anything stuck out too much from the records.

~11K miles between tire changes seems excessive even on a rwd. Sanely driven, the summer tires should last 15-20K.

Assuming that's what it was, yeah, I would agree.
