Humming Noise at Highway speeds

Did you find out what was the problem?
The sounds seems to kick in at 5 or 6th gear. Sounds like a buzzing electricical noise as if the alternator is over charging or a bad ground. I turned off my radio, still the noise kicks in when I slightly or press on the gas pedal. When I let go it goes away. Any ideas or hints ? Thanks
