I like it, I just vinyl'ed my roof in gloss black, just have the window trim left and no more chrome. Mine is K51 so it's a more subtle contrast than yours so I'm going to wrap it just to see first
And I'm a fan of that spoiler, I have the same one with the stock chrome lip also wrapped in black.
Best part about modding is the more you do it the more it becomes uniquely your own

Sorry for hacking this post

I'm in Texas
Unfortunately, I'm located in NJ. Depending on competition in your area, I'd say it'll probably cost around $2,000 for a full wrap. I'd suggest a roof wrap which costs considerably less but drastically changes the look of the car.

Otherwise, check out my DIY if you're feeling brave.

Maybe when the engine goes, I'll stick a turbocharged boxer engine in it!

I don't like it, OP. It cheapens the car.

You asked for opinions, so there's one with an explanation.
100 percent agree...

Your stock base model G37 looks out of place with black door handles. Not tastefully done. I believe it will flow better once you have other supporting aesthetic modifications like a drop, vinyled roof overlay, rear diffuser, wheels, etc.

Once you have all that done than it might flow well together. It might not. Really depends on how you execute the other things I listed above.

I cringe every time I drive and see another G with that wing spoiler on the trunk above the chrome trim. It looks so awful and out of place.
Audi I think was the one that started the full black grille's, they pull it off really well. I think Lexus took it way to far. That's the one thing I hate about the new Lexus cars... Way to much black in the front grille. The Lexus suv looks better with the white in the middle of the grille. It give it a break of all that black.

If you don't like it , you can always remove it.. BTW it does look good without the lettering!!! I'm definitely debadging mine once I start on the exterior.
Now thats the spirit! I actually removed it off the handles but kept it on the little section next to it... Looks great! Theres is nothing wrong with experimenting imo. And thanks! Took me 10mins with a tshirt, card and some wax& grease remover
