Straight Pipe dimensions?

Hello, so I am considering a muffler delete on my 10' G37x and would like to replace it with a straight pipe and wield the OEM tips to it. I've searched the forum and everyone seems to have the pipes custom made but none actually mention the details of the pipe. There are no shops that can custom build a pipe for my car where I live at so i'm going to have to order it online. I know the diameter is 2.5', but that's about it. Are there any G37-fit pipes sold online or am I going to have to customize it?

Thanks

All deletes are custom, I would cut the muffler out of the pipe and bridge the gap. That's the simplest solution. You get to keep the clamp so it's easy to undo this mod.

And you mean 2.5 inches, not mm.

That's my problem, bridging the gap. I have no experience with this what so ever. Wouldn't I need a specific length bent pipe (on a certain angle)?

If you cut out the muffler of an OEM tail, you need a pipe the length of the muffler. Make it a half-inch longer; always cut longer than you need then trim as needed.

Forgot to ask: coupe or sedan. Their mufflers are quite different.

If you do the muffler delete I'd look in to new tips, the oem tips are ok, but there are much better options.

Not sure where this is going...

You have...
1) no shop that can custom fit
2) no previous experience (I'm guessing in fabbing)

Wouldn't that leave you to look for custom deletes in the marketplace or buy axlebacks online?

But anyways, have you tried to remove the mufflers to see how you like it deleted? It can get a bit loud and obnoxious to deal with daily IMO.

Stock size is correct with the 2.25" from experience. If you check out my thread you can see similar setup yet I have mufflers on there. I also agree that it would sound pretty loud without mufflers and that setup, I would look into atleast a set of HKS Hi-power universal mufflers if you wanted a louder sound than mine but didnt want to be obnoxious.

There are numerous youtube videos of the muffler delete. I thought the volume just fine.

I will agree muffler deletes with stock cats, y pipe, and resonators doesnt sound too loud. He mentioned he is looking at doing a magnaflow resonated x pipe and new piping all the way to the tips with no mufflers or other resonators. This setup will be louder and more raspy than your normal muffler delete.

Let me clarify please...stock exhaust diameter is not 2.5". The tips are 2.5" but the stock exhaust is more like 1.9". It is a metric sized exhaust system. And please do get aftermarket tips when doing this. Any muffler shop can do the welding for you if you just bring tips in. Expect $150-200 piping included.
